about the seamstress projects links

Some garments made over the years, part 2. These projects date mostly back to my school period, many being school projects.

silkkimekko A simple dress of beautiful dupioni silk, unfortunately I got to wear this about two times before it became too small for me. You can't even take out seams in dupion, it shows.

taftipuku A dress and a jacket made for my Mother for my wedding. We chose the material for the wonderful colour, but you can see from the seams why acetate taffeta is not generally a favourite among our guild.

furcoat
A wool coat I made in school. The fur collar and cuffs were given to me by Jarno's Mom, she had saved them from an old coat. It doesn't show in the picture, but the skirts of the coat are almost ground-length and very wide.

nahkatoppi
A corset bodice of suede, made with the same pattern as the bodice of my wedding dress.

peasant blouse I have two peasant-blouse type of tops of this same material, Kaisa has this one.

kimono A very old and nowadays quite worn dressing gown. Not a very good picture, but I included it nevertheless for the sentimental value, and because the dressing gown matched the funny and cute hotelroom so well. An overload of pink!
